Inulin

Inulin is a naturally occurring fructans polysaccharide classified as a prebiotic fiber. Prebiotics are non-digestible food ingredients that selectively stimulate the growth and activity of one or a limited number of bacteria in the colon. Prebiotics are non-digestible substances that promote the growth and activity of beneficial gut microbiota. When consumed, inulin is mostly undigested in the upper digestive tract and reaches the colon, where it serves as a food source for the beneficial bacteria that reside there. These bacteria synthesize short-chain fatty acids, including acetate, propionate, and butyrate, which provide energy for the cells lining the colon and have been associated with various health benefits.

Inulin is used in our nouxx BLOODY BERRY.
