Bloody Berry contains a red complex of beetroot, raspberry, strawberry, blueberry and acai as whole-fruit powders.
The red complex gives nouxx Bloody Berry its berry flavour and red colour. It combines beetroot, raspberry, strawberry, blueberry and acai as fruit and root powders.
What is in the blend
Beetroot contributes its distinctive colour and flavour. Its red pigments are called betalains. The berries contain anthocyanins, the pigments responsible for many red, blue and purple colours in plant foods.[1]
Raspberry and strawberry bring familiar berry notes. Blueberry and acai complete the fruit blend. Acai is the fruit of an Amazonian palm and is also used as a dried pulp powder.[4]
The vitamin C declared for Bloody Berry comes from its standardised acerola extract. It is counted separately from the fruit powders.
Food powders and research extracts
There is no recommended daily intake for a red fruit complex. These powders are part of the 30 g sachet alongside collagen, vitamins, minerals and amino acids. Their role is to contribute plant foods, colour and taste.
Research on berries and beetroot often uses purified anthocyanins, concentrated juice or measured nitrate doses.[2][3] Those preparations differ from the fruit and root powders in Bloody Berry. Their results do not establish the same effects for this blend.
A note on beetroot
Beetroot pigments can turn urine or stool pink or red. A colour change caused by beetroot itself is harmless.

We do not make formal health claims for the red complex itself. Its place in Bloody Berry is as a blend of plant ingredients that contributes flavour and colour to your daily routine.
